Principal
Welcome to Lacomb School. We pride ourselves on creating a learning space rich with history and tradition and on preparing students for a constantly changing world. Lacomb offers self-contained learning in grades kindergarten through 8th grade in a rural setting. Our students are challenged by a rigorous curriculum delivered by a skilled and caring staff. Our students go to high school prepared and ready to learn. We work hard to support the academic and social-emotional learning of all of our students.
Our school has received excellent ratings on individual student growth in reading and math despite the recent pandemic interruptions. This year, Lacomb School is excited to continue our work promoting college and career readiness through community partnerships and adopted district programs such as AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination). Our teachers will be utilizing instructional strategies that help students gain the skills they will need to succeed in the future.
Lacomb School is a Positive Behavior and Interventions Support (PBIS) school. We teach, model, and expect students to follow the three expectations of Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. As a community of learners, we continue deepening our understanding of trauma and its effect on children and learning, which ensures we create a culture with practices and policies that are sensitive to the needs of all of our learners.
We encourage parents and the community to be our partners throughout this process. Please contact me with ideas or to learn more about why Lacomb School is so special.
